Came here with a group of friends recently as we have heard great things about this place. This eatery focuses on Pan Asian food, i.e. unity of Asian cuisines such as Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Malaysian etc. And Big Fish Eatery did not disappoint.
Designed to share (as do a lot of restaurants nowadays), there is a variety of sushis, rice & noodles, small and large shared plates to choose from. For the meat-eaters, their beef teppanyaki, karaage chicken, and pork belly bao to name a few, were all done with fresh, juicy and tender ingredients, and they were full of flavours! For vegetarians, their stir-fried vegetables with mushrooms, beans, capsicum and garlic chilli sauce is highly recommended.
Dessert. I have to admit I made sure I saved enough room for their famous gooey cookie dough! It comes in either white or dark chocolate. Either or this dessert is TO DIE FOR. Now it is not for the faint-hearted (quite literally!) as it is rather sweet so can be a bit heavy after the mains. But being someone with a sweet tooth, I ain’t complaining. This cookie dough dessert is baked so it’s a bit crispy on the outside, and the gooey centre is so delicious as you dig in!! A must try if you are here. Overall it was an excellent experience.
