No doubt for those who have tried this restaurant love their famous meatballs (Baduzzi = meatballs in Sicillian) and fresh homemade pasta. Michael, also owner of The Grove (another fine dining restaurant in Auckland) with executive chef Ben Bayly (My Kitchen Rules New Zealand) created this amazing Italian restaurant a few years ago.
I particularly love their vegetarian pasta. Don’t be fooled by the word “vegetarian”, Ben has the magic to make them so yummy you’d regret not trying them. Pappardelle with salted beetroot is my fave. You’ll see in the photo that the pasta is pink. This dish is delish! If you love a bit of meat then definitely try their crayfish as well as lamb meatballs. They’re tender and juicy.
As for dessert, well, tiramisu with Baileys is divine and cannoli is just as heavenly. Not to mention the colourful and beautiful presentation of the dishes, that’s enough to tempt any foodie.
